DR. A. NEAL ROSE

Veterinarian 

A native of South Carolina, Dr. Rose brings both a wealth of experience and unique southern hospitality to Broad Street Veterinary Hospital. He is known by his clients not only for his dedication to patient care but also for his friendly approach and ability to put even the most nervous of pets at ease.

From a young age, Dr. Rose knew that he wanted to become a veterinarian.  After graduating from Anderson College and Clemson University, Dr. Rose earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia. Shortly after his graduation in 1972, he was hired at Broad Street Veterinary Hospital. Years later he became the practice owner. Since then, he has provided compassionate care for thousands of pets and their families.

Dr. Rose now lives outside of Richmond with his wife, Betty. He also has two sons, Ashton and Darren. The bond between pets and their families is one that he understands personally.

​

In addition to spending his time with his family, Dr. Rose enjoys traveling and photography. He is also a member of and has held leadership roles in various community and medical organizations. These include:

​

  • American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA)

  • American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA)

  • Virginia Veterinary Medical Association (VVMA)

  • Central Virginia Veterinary Medical Association (CVVMA)
